Hey All,
It's hard to believe we are already at the last regular CSA delivery! I hope you have enjoyed the fresh, organic, local produce grown by Dickinson Students and Apprentices. We are grateful for the opportunity to feed yall.
Today is the last big push to get cover crop planted. This afternoon I will seed about 2 acres in rye, vetch, and crimson clover in advance of rain this weekend. This will protect and build our soil all winter long but it will grow especially well through the spring.
Recipe of the week: Roasted butternut squash pureed into DCF bone broth with some DCF chili flakes, DCF garlic, and coconut cream. Delicious, nourishing, and I believe it is perfect for seasonal sniffles. It's even great if you aren't sick!
Pictured: farmdog Nina checking on the last wave of cauliflower and broccoli!
Enjoy!
