Farm Happenings for June 14, 2024

Posted on June 10th, 2024 by Alex Smith

Hello All,

The big push on the farm this week is to get the greenhouses transitioned from Spring to Summer. For the most part, that means growing a heat loving cover crop in there to prepare for the fall planting. We will also plant a few tomatoes in one of our houses that'll (hopefully) produce fruit into October.

Please note the sweet potato offering this week. As we work through our inventory, we have larger tubers available. It didn't make sense to me to send along one large, one-pound sweet potato. I upped the unit to three pound bags. They are still the same great sweet potatoes at even more of a discount.

Pictured:  part of the crew harvesting for tomorrow's CSA drop off. It was a beautiful morning to gather veggies!

Enjoy the veggies!

Please note that not all produce in your share has been washed, including leafy greens. We recommend you wash all produce prior to eating.
