Happy Monday all,
Farming this time of year is a treat. It's a lot of work, but it is very satisfying to harvest from all of the hard work we put in earlier in the season. The weather is great too. And lastly, my favorite part: as I chug along on the tractor prepping our fields for fall I dream more and more about the ways we can improve things next season. It seems early, but good farming starts early.
We are now offering 5lb boxes of paste tomatoes for bulk purchase. These items are an "extra" on the harvest list so they will cost above and beyond the normal CSA share. Please note, that the "paste" tomatoes are not "number 1s". Most of them will have some surface imperfections, weird shapes, and splits; but they will all still be great for sauce making and canning. Please also note, that they will be ripe and ready to go; be prepared to use them within a day or two.
