Happy Monday,
Last week was a frosty but very productive week on the farm. We planted about 22,000 cloves of garlic. Each of those should yield a large, healthy bulb to harvest next July. We also pulled in about half of our fall carrot crop. Despite getting washed out by 5" of rain a week after germination, and getting a little neglected in a busy September, that carrot crop is producing lots of large, sweet carrots.
The apprentices really stepped up despite braving the cold weather in the yurts. While the yurts got fresh insulation this spring, they still get quite cold once the wood stove fire goes out.
Have a great week,
Alex
