Pictured above: Charlie and Grandpa (the entomologist) get their microscope on to study some insects. So grateful for nature loving Grandparents who's continued curiosity about everything in the natural world is a great match for our kid's intuitive attraction to all that is wild.
Farm News: About 100 of you responded to our survey about mid-week pick up times. 70 percent of you prefer that we drop off your boxes as early as possible and the other 30% preferred later. So, we are going to stick with the earlier schedule. Over the next week we are planning on having the drivers fine tune their drop off times so we can let you know more accurately when you can pick up.
Also in Farm News, we just dug the first planting of potatoes. We aren't washing them as the skins are still pretty delicate and washing could lead to bruising and damage. PS Potatoes also keep way better unwashed. We also just picked the first few baskets of cherry tomatoes (much earlier than last year). Hopefully that means more and more will be on the way soon :) Peas are done :( They were delicious experiment this year and definitely a repeat for next Spring.
Flower Shares this week: The Dahlia season is now officially in full swing! This week's flower shares will be 3 bunches of dahlias versus a bouquet.
Meet the Crew: We want you to know a bit about the people who are growing your food and will continue to introduce you to new members of the team as the season goes on.
