The current CSA Winter/ Spring session ends with the Saturday distribution on April 24 and the Summer session begins the week of May 2. Auto renew begins on Monday, April 12.
I want to carefully heat one of the large high tunnels in order to increase winter production of high demand crops. I know it works because we've been doing it in the smaller nursery for a number of years, and I recently added two medium sized hoops to carry over the unheated growing areas.
This proposal will be very expensive, and I would like to finance it by increasing the CSA Membership by 12-15 new subscribers. I have been working with my Harvie coach to make the Hillcrest Farms CSA the friendliest on the planet!
To sign up the cost is 2 deliveries, instead of 25% of the total share, the second delivery is already paid for and it's 'pay as you go" with the 3rd delivery going forward. There is an option to pay in full in return for a 10% discount. The Summer CSA session runs May 2 - September 4, in order to accomodate 3 distinct seasons instead of just 2 (Summer and Winter), and make the overall share less costly. All summer sessions confirmed by April 11, will receive an additional $50.00 credit!
Lastly, on Harvies page there is a "refer a friend" link: $25.00 credit goes to the referring Member and $25.00 to the new signing Member! Please help if you can.
This week's menu is attached. I will be at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that from 3:00-6:00. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and Saturday I am in the parking lot behind Flour Child Bakery in Grand Ledge, 11:00-12:00 noon. The first outdoor Farmers Market in Grand Ledge at JC Park is May 22!
