Hello!
The dog days of summer are now upon us and a quick check of our Produce inventory confirms that all that planning, planting, and cultivating is coming to harvest. A lot of the new stuff is not posted because of an early quantity shortage, but at the markets we will have things like tomatoes, peppers, bulb fennel, eggplant, zucchini, ect.
Then there are other types of shortage like all of our mature Boston "Butterhead" Lettuce that the deer ate last night!
The Salsa Kits are back this coming week! Hot, Medium, and Mild Heat ranges, with the appropriate tomatoes, peppers, onion, and garlic ready to chop up or three pulses on the food processor. Same price as last year at only $6.00! Free Cilantro if requested with each kit.
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Market located at Michigan Avenue and Fairview after that, 2:30 - 6:30. Thursday afternoon is farm pickup, and Saturday we are at the Market on the Grand at JC Park in Grand Ledge, 9:00 - 1:00. Please see the attached menu and let me know if I can help. Also, it's too early to predict fruit availability for the markets!
Thank you,
Mark Kastner
