Hello!
I took a break from the mid afternoon heat to stay inside, do some planning for Winter, catch up on paperwork, organize and review my notes. The responsibility of a four season grower is to provide an ample array of produce in a consistent and timely manner. This all brings me back to Season Extension so we can produce in that manner, and every season my notes and records consistently humble me!
Yet we are doing a lot of things right; the new crop of cherry tomatoes is coming along, the early fall cucumbers are simply excellent, and the late roma tomatoes will arrive just in time for the Salsa Kits and football season! We will soon be adding autumn-like comfort food like onions and potatoes.
I will spend the next couple of weeks setting up my new online farm stand whereby the customer can have access and can order from our excess inventory from home evade some of the upcoming inclement weather!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Fairview St after that, 2:30-6:30. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and Saturday we are in Grand Ledge for the Market on the Grand 9:00-1:00.Saturday is part of the Labor Day Holiday weekend; There will be a Market at JC Park, and we will be there! Please see the attached menu and let me know if I can help! NOTE: I will follow up with my anticipated Winter Production
Thank you,
