We are still transplanting outside for Summer harvests, as we are still a little behind our normal crop schedule. This will be a very productive week; all the Brassicas are in and we begin to finish the leafy greens within days. We still start the Baby Lettuces and 70 heads of Romaine every week!
This week also is a week of transition: the new Sun Gold Tomatoes are beginning to blush, baby Cucumbers have developed, and the first Strawberry Fruit Share Delivery is ready for our CSA Members. Concurrently, the new Student Employees begin training a week from Monday, as I note the schedule for Autumn and early Winter seeding starts in 5 weeks!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that, 2:30-6:30. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up and Saturday we are in Grand Ledge For the Market on the Grand, 9:00-1:00. Please review the attached menu and let me know if I can help. I hope to see you soon!
