This week we'll finish transplanting the Onion starts that we first planted on January 16. The Red Onions are a little behind, and I'll hold the Leeks and Shallots until they become a little more robust! Next up: early Potatoes!
I also transplant Snow and Snap Peas from flats that we seeded some time ago. The ground outside is ready, and the Peas go in, about 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule. We are beginning to make room in the nursery for the succession plantings of late summer crops.
A reminder: Auto renew for the Spring CSA Membership begins tomorrow and runs through June 30. The Summer schedule begins July 1, and we reinstate the availability of Fruit Shares. Should our Strawberries arrive before that, I will offer them as an add-on.
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street indoor Farmers Market after that, 3:00-6:00. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and we deliver scheduled home deliveries. Saturday morning I am at the parking lot behind Flour Child Bakery in Grand Ledge, 11:00-12:00 noon.
