Hello from the land of happy carrots. As you can see from the picture above, we harvested our first carrot bed. Ellie found a very smily carrot and just had to share it.
It is so heartening to see the season continue to progress and our first summer crops starting to shine. While everything has been so delayed we are all buoyed to be hunting through the squash fields for our first summer squash. We have flowers over all of the tomatoes, peppers and eggplants which signals a bounty to come. . Nature willing, it is going to be an amazing season.
YAY, PEACHES! - The first peaches of the season have been harvested over on the western slope. while we are still a few weeks away from the start of our fruit share, we are bringing in Rising Star peaches for every one to add to your share.
This week will also have Perfection and Ryland Apricots plus our last offering of Rainier Cherries.
Fruit Share - Members who have a Fruit Share will see fruit automatically added to the shares starting the week of July 27th. More info about how this will work will be sent out to these members before the Fruit Share starts.
