We finished up the last of the last planting for 2020 (well I do need to plant some fescue in the chicken pasture - it never ends!)

400 lbs of Garlic is planted along with another 16 acres of winter rye and Daikon radishes for a cover crop. And we did our final planting of the greenhouses. Farm Happenings for October 20, 2020
About 16,000 strawberry plants arrived Thursday and we had them all tucked in to their new homes by dark. They are off to a good start and looked good and healthy when they arrived. They'll sit there and grow and think sweet, red, juicy thoughts all winter.

We were able to dig a lot of sweet potatoes before the rain last week. I was really worried that we were going to get a massive amount of rain in torrential downpours but thankfully we did not. The rain we got was perfect for the crops. This crisp, fall weather has been very nice1 read more »
