Many machines, tools, and equipment are built for either large scale production farming operations or for small home gardeners. The scale of our farm is somewhere in between which means that we've had to be creative when it comes to the tools and equipment we use. Lucky for us, we have the resident master builder, top-notch tinker-er, and king of creativity- Benner Dana! Ben has created dozens of unique tools that we use daily on the farm, he's taught himself to weld, his built his own forge, he's an excellent carpenter, and even a mechanic. From the "wolf" carts that haul hundreds of pounds of tomatoes and cucumbers from our greenhouses to our wash station (named for the wolf silhouette that decorates the frame of the carts), to the rebar poker which creates perfectly spaced holes in the weed mat for planting onions, to the custom built tool bars for cultivating weeds with our small tractors, to the big salad greens spinner made from a washing machine. Ben has crafted many unique tools to help us creatively and efficiently grow veggies for you! Thank you Bean!
