We love winter squash harvest time. As adults, it's the closest we come to elementary school field day when we team up to toss squash after squash from field to bin. The tractor inches along slowly down the field carrying a giant bin as the squash is passed from hand to hand and placed gently inside. This week, we brought in around 4,000 delicatas! Go Team! We also brought in a bountiful green cabbage harvest. With the delicious, cool weather crops coming in, it's almost time to wave goodbye to our summer favorites until next season. Last call for green beans and tomatoes!

Un-recipe: Have you ever just eaten green beans raw? Next time you go to the mountain, instead of packing chips or a granola bar, snag a handful of green beans! Their mild earthy flavor and satisfying crunch make a great snack for on the go!
