Some of the joys of late November- early evenings by the wood stove curled up with our cat and a good book, and sunny afternoons frolicking in our kale forest in the hoophouse.
The Lacinato kale featured in this week's boxes is a true standout. Lacinato has wowed us with it's extra long leaves and a hearty, bold flavor that's noticeably sweeter than it's cousin, Curly Kale. These leaves are sturdy enough to use as wraps for rice pilafs or as "noodles" for a vegetable based lasagna but tender enough for salads and soups.
Thank you, thank you for continuing to choose local food straight from the farm to nourish you and your family and friends this winter. Your support of our farm and other local businesses makes all the difference in building a resilient Upper Valley.
