We're eagerly watching our kraut cabbages size up (they grow to be about 10lbs each!) and soon our certified kitchen will be transformed into our annual kraut-making shred fest! Before we start, we need your help to empty out a few more kraut barrels to make space for the new crop. We're excited to invite you to the farm for our Fermentation Celebration on Saturday, 9/21!
We'll have all of our krauts available for bulk purchase (bring your own jars!), and we'll be joined by a variety of local producers to highlight different types fermented foods and beverages. We hope you'll join us in celebrating the wonders of fermentation!
Meanwhile in your CSA boxes this week, we have a gorgeous crop of broccoli and fresh picked green beans to share with you. Our salad greens, head lettuce, radishes, and turnips are all in their prime. They're benefiting from these lovely cool nights and warm sunny days. And our friends at Four Corners Farm have an impressive crop of late season sweet corn for your boxes this week. Yippee!
