Dear Spoon Full Farm Family,
The Sweet Orange Bell Peppers, Red Lipstick Peppers, and Jimmy Nardello Peppers are plentiful...it must September. There are hints of fall in the brisk early mornings, and signs of fall in our field. Our winter squash are starting to fill in, many of our fields are getting put to rest for the season with cover crops, and many of the remaining fields are full of fall brassicas (think brussels sprouts, broccoli and green cabbage). But not to worry, summer is still very prominent. Our field tomatoes are still going strong, and our basil plants are thriving. Your upcoming CSA share will be full of the delicious bounty that the summer season brings.
