We're super excited to have secured 14 more acres of farm land for the next several years. This farm has sat vacant for the past 3 years so fortunately we will be able certify all crops that we harvest here as "Certified" Organic. Land must be free of any synthetic substances for 3 years before it is able to be USDA Certified Organic. Israel and I spent several days mowing down and "plowing" under the debris. We will sow a cover crop on this field late September-Early October. We raise a "cover crop" to protect and enhance the soil.
As the guys are thinking about how many weeks until they are able to return to their families back home in Mexico I have dangled a carrot in front of my team to make sure that there are no mistakes in your shares. I have offered a bonus to any employee that makes no mistakes in packing shares. If you do notice an error in your share-- please let me know and send me a picture of your share label.... even if you want them to get the bonus :)
