Well here we are in October already!! One more CSA delivery after this one.
Now is the time to stock up on things you can use later or freeze or can.
We have lots of butternut and acorn, carrots and beets, potatoes and onions.

And just like that fall is here!!!!!!! We are loving these beautiful days.
Getting the ground ready to plant garlic next week and get the corn maze
ready. That means cutting and cleaning the trails!!! Hoping the grandkids
think that is part of homeschool!!!

Took some time this past week to do The Round-up, Happy Canyon, and the parade with
the grandkids!! Was so fun!! This is their 2nd year to do this and everything was so exciting!!!

Farm Happenings for September 7, 2021
Wow does it ever feel like fall is coming. We were down to 36 degrees
this a.m.!!! More like the first of Oct. not Sept. Some gardens around
already got bit by the frost!!!
We will have butternut and acorn starting this week. Also russet potatoes.

Loving this weather but sure makes me think fall is almost here!!!
The Walla Walla sweet onions are gone for this year and we now have
the candy onions. Same sweet flavor but they will store for longer.

Loving this cooler weather this last week and the rain this evening!!
The peppers are really starting to produce now. Another week or so and
we will have lots of poblanos. The assorted hots this week will be a sample of
everything that is ready.

Just having a hard time believing it is the middle of August!!!!! Now is when we are to have those "hot August nights"!!!!

About the farm
We are a small family farm in NE Oregon. We grow a large selection of vegetables, our own frozen beef, free range eggs, in addition to fruit, local honey and other items from local producers. Our gardens are on a southern slope which gives us excellent growing conditions. We irrigate with water from a spring and use a drip system which allows us to give the plants what they need and not waste any water. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We do not knowingly plant any GMO seeds or plants.
