Frost is always a mixed bag on the farm. As of yet, we have had only a tiny frost which seems have done very little damage. But, as we get into the last couple weeks we definitely keep an eye on it to make sure we maximize our harvest out of the field before it’s all tied up by frost. We are glad for the cool temps though! I do like like working in this weather much more than the summer, but everyday gets shorter and we all know that the dreary wet season is just around the corner and we have allot of cleanup and winter cover crops to get in! Well that is what’s happening folks, so enjoy these last few weeks as we put a bow on it and put our beds to rest for the winter.

About the farm
Wild Coyote Farm is a Certified Organic small family farm in beautiful Southwest Michigan, dedicated to organic, regenerative, and sustainable growing practices to produce delicious and nutritious produce and eggs. No synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, or anything harmful to any part of the precious land and environment we steward. We grow everything in soil (no hydroponics) and focus on soil health to grow the most nutritious produce. The animals we raise (chickens and sheep) rotate as part of our soil health plan, are pastured and humanely cared for.
