Of course, no farm update would be complete without a discussion on the status of melons on the farm. I’ll say, if you at all like cantaloupe, you should get your hands on one of these. They really are delicious this year! It doesn’t look we have quite enough inventory for everyone to get it, but close. The good news is that there are allot more on the way!
Pickles? Yes, we had a co-packer process many jars of delicious refrigerator pickles from all on farm ingredients, except for salt and vinegar. These need to be held in the refrigerator, but these things are delicious! Classic dill, not spicy, but crispy and ready to enjoy!
We are planning to have some more processing done, including salsas, hot sauce, stewed tomatoes, and refrigerator sour kraut. Anything else you’d like to see in that category? Let us know!
