We are entering a season of transition. If it’s not planted by now, might as well not try, except for possibly baby greens. Not to worry though, we have produce out there that still needs eaten in the coming weeks! Last week we sent out potatoes in your boxes, we will continue to have them all fall long. We dig the potatoes with a digger that was made in the early 1900’s, originally made for use behind a team of horses. It does a pretty good job getting the potatoes out of the ground but occasionally they will have nick’s and scars that we don’t notice and get sent along. But these potatoes are oh so good!
With a sense of fall in the air, we are buying in Organic Gala apples from Third Leaf farm near Grand Rapids to pack out for all of you. They will be add on only in the shares, available in 2# and 5# increments. Get ‘em while they’re good!
