If you eat winter squash in the summer, is it still winter squash? I suppose so eh? By the way we are bring winter squash in and we will be getting out to to you all over the following weeks. Pumpkins? Yep they are ready to haul in and the pie pumpkins look like stellar little fellows this year. Make a pie, or custard (my favorite) or put them out on the porch for awhile, we will be sending them your way shortly.
This week we are adding spaghetti squash to the inventory, and they are little ones, so if you’re not sure whether or not this vegetable is for you, it should be pretty easy to use the whole thing. The are actually orange in color and look quite like a little pumpkin. The ones that I have eaten have been delicious, but as with any spaghetti squash, you’ll want to add flavor to it.
