New Farm stand! Finally we made time to renovate our stand at the Western Fair market and we're getting good reviews. The wood came from our old "back barn" which will need to be dismantled this winter and spring.
This week we have bought in some sweet potatoes from our neighbours at the market, Loco Fields. We used to grow sweet potatoes ourselves for 2-3 years, but the deer pressure finally caused us to give up on them. It's hard for us to fence out enough area for them, but we're happy to be able to get local, organic sweet potatos from loco fields.
We are nearing the end of our squash from HOPE organic farms in Aylmer and we have some squash that we have set aside as "seconds". It is mostly good with a spot or two bad and will be good to use in a week or two. I've included it in the list as "seconds" squash and you get 3, so lots of squash!
