Our first frosty morning on the farm, and in late December, that is much later in the year than usual. Of course it will be 80 degrees again in a few days, but by now all people in Louisiana should be used to it! We hope everyone has a great holiday and we truly appreciate yall supporting not only our farm, but all of the small farms/business' that we have bundled into our club. I am working on getting more local meats and a few other items, hoping to see those in boxes within 2 weeks. The main farm I am trying to start working with is Home Place Pastures, out of Mississippi, to supply us with some great proteins for yall to enjoy. We will be harvesting cabbage soon with New Years coming!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
