Happy New Year to everyone! I sure hope 2022 is good to yall. We had some very hot weather last week but it is looking like we are gonna drop to about 28 for our low, which means we frost protect as much as we can. Mainly with covers over the frost sensitive plants, but we also drain all above ground irrigation, drip any water sources that need to stay on, and put the heaters on the wells. Its a whole process but I have to say we have gotten pretty good at it! Hopefully we don't have too much damage and we can press on. New varieties should be on the list with more coming. Thanks for a great year and we truly appreciate you supporting us!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
