Fall tomato plants are looking great considering all the rain, they are about 4 feet tall right now and hopefully some drier weather will come our way to really push them before its starts to cool off. We got another round cole crop plantings in over the weekend, including broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussels, greens, and a few others. A few items will be ending and a few new items will start to show up with the seasons changing, still waiting on that first cool front to speed things along. Hoping to get more root crops planted as soon as it dries up, and we will also be getting strawberry plants delivered in the next few weeks! Stay dry out there!!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
