Our first planting of Broccoli is looking great and starting to make some heads, it won't be long before we are picking and offering it in your boxes! I hope everyone has been enjoying the bits of fall varieties we have had, even though it hasn't been much yet, trust me it is coming. Few new things this week and we should start to see a few more next week with this wonderful weather, cooler nights and days warming to the low 80s in great for all the plants. Strawberries are doing okay so far and we have been sprinkling everyday to keep them cool, it won't be long until we are seeing some blooms on them.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
