Green garlic is looking good and appears to be larger than normal for this time of year, which means we may harvest some of it earlier than the Spring. Guess we will have to see how cold of a winter we have. I do have carrots coming soon for our members, we are definitely later than normal on them this year. Hoping to start seeing some romanesco and strawberries very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. It still doesn't feel like December for me but I know its here and Christmas is just around the corner. I hope to be offering some Christmas décor from our fields and surrounding woods, like Eucalyptus, Spruce cuttings and Red berry privett, all just for some fresh decorations but I think it will be a nice addition to the list. Stay warm out there, cool fronts are coming!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
