We haven't been able to run the farm stand as frequently this season as in the past. I apologize for that. This is the first season we have ever reached our farm share capacity and completely sold out of memberships. To keep up with our restaurants and retail clients, there just hasn't been any produce left at the end of each week.
BUT, this week we have an incredible selection of local fruit! This year has been incredible for peaches, plums, and so many other specialty fruits.
What's Fresh This Week?
-White Peaches from Thompson's Peaches
Louis Thompson is a third generation peach farmer, and the white peach is his favorite peach for fresh eating.
-Shiro Plums
Shiro Plums taste sweeter than any other plum I have tried. This yellow plum is a Japanese variety and I think one of the most flavorful plums for making jam and fresh eating
-Sweet Treats
One of the most special, and delicious fruits I have ever had the opportunity to pick and taste. This is a hybrid fruit that is grown from a sweet cherry grafted onto a red plum.
