Good morning!
The first garlic harvest looks great, and smells and tastes even better! It has been curing in the nursery and is almost finished. Meanwhile we'll complete the other 2/3 of the crop this week. It must be summer!
Alanna is back from vacation and will be a freshman at Spring Arbor College this fall. She was to receive her roommate and housing assignment last Friday. How exciting! Lauren will return late this week, and Alex will soon be leaving for college and a basketball scholarship. When Riley returns from his vacation early August, the whole gang will be preparing and planting for winter before everyone scatters.
I will try to deal with bulk fruit orders later this week. Just note that my arrangement with Harvie, our inventory manager, fruit is a CSA add on, and then goes to the online farmstead before going to markets.
This week I am in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, at the Family Fare parking lot, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that. Thursday afternoon iis farm pick up, and Saturday we are at the Market on the Grand in Grand Ledge, 9:00-1:00.. I hope to see you soon!
