Hello!
As the Summer Garden Bounty is peaking, we began to plant for Winter Harvest last week! We'll focus on hardy winter greens like Spinach, Baby Lettuces, Asian Greens, and other Salad mixes. We also plan to over winter Carrots, some Beets, Onions and Spinach to ensure a crop harvest in January, February and March.
The nursery is already half full and I hope to fill iit up in the next two weeks, as most of our incredible helpers are leaving for school next week. We'll still have Caleb and Lauren part time. Lauren starts back to MSU in two weeks, and her boyfriend is back from Pennsylvania for his last year. OH MY!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot on Wednesday in Eaton Rapids at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers MArket on Michigan Avenue after that. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and Saturday we are in Grand Ledge for the Market on the Grand from 9:00-1:00 pm. Please see the attached menu and let me know if I can help.
