Good Morning!
One more chilly overnight, and we will start transplanting the tender Summer crops in high tunnels! I'll be almost 2 weeks behind our scheduled planting date, but we managed to hold the young plants in the heated nursery through the latest cold snap. And it was cold!
There is no distribution this Saturday, as we rotate over into the Summer CSA on May 5 and May 8. We'll continue Saturday distributions behind Flour Child Bakery until May 22, when everything shifts to JC Park for the first outdoor Farmers Market in Grand Ledge!
The menu is light this week as we change over to Spring Crops. My wife Gayleen, and I are taking advantage of the short break to visit our 2 year old twin grandkids in Dallas. Three days there and two days of travel! The farm will be in very capable hands with Lauren and Jan.
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot on Wednesday in Eaton Rapids at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street indoor Farmers Market later from 3:00 - 6:00. We will make arrangements for Thursday farm pick up, as we will be on our way to Texas!
Thank you,
