Hello!
We have had over 15 hours of daylight for over a week, and with all this sun and heat the tomatoes should begin to blush soon. My wife says the public consumer is not ready for tomatoes until after July 4, but I had some red Cherry Tomatoes on my salad today, and I was ready!
The Cucumbers are just plain excellent. I have a rather large comercial order this week, but we have a lot of Cucumbers coming, so make sure you get your share. The Eggplant is in flower, Bell Peppers are on the way, all of the melons are in, and it's full summer ahead. The Broccoli is heading well and we should have a few at the markets.
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, and the Allen Street Farmers Market on the corner of Fairview and Michigan Avenue in Lansing, 2:30 - 6:30 after that. Thursday afternoon is farm pickup. Saturday we are in Grand Ledge for the Market on the Grand 9:00 - 1:00. It is also Yankee Doodle Day Weekend in Grand Ledge! I hope to see you soon!
Thank you,
