Hello!
This time of year we always fall behind; still reaping summer's bounty, still engaging Farmers Markets, and turning the hoops over in preparation for winter crop transplants. The seed garlic will arrive any day, Oh My! I should be done by November 15.
Baby lettuce replants and other greens are in the ground. The August heat rendered the summer crop very bitter. I ask your patience as the new crop looks pretty nice.
I received a notice from Mesic... the Salmon are running! My brother in law is on his way from Alabama, and we'll meet early tomorrow morning at Tippy Dam in Manistee National Forest. I'll return early Tuesday Morning to take care of any issues and the lodge where we stay may have WIFI, but there is no internet on the river!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that, 2:30 - 6:30 Michigan Avenue at Fairview. Thursday is farm pick up, and Saturday we will be at the Market on the Grand in Grand Ledge, 9:00 - 1:00.
Please see the attached menu for the week, and let me know if I can help!
Thank you,
