The Summer CSA session begins the week of July 2, and runs through the week of September 17, a total of 12 weeks. Sign up is now open for new Members, and auto renew for existing Members begins June 26 and ends June 29 for any changes to your share. Fruit shares are available as well as Artisan Cheese, Eggs, Local (Grand Ledge) maple syrup, and Hillcrest Farms sourced honey! I have attached a link to my CSA inventory manager, Harvie.
The Summer Crew is now set, with Eva on crops and transplanting, Amber on infrastructure, and Jan for general duty. Riley is on call for any major seeding. This week is our friend and intern Jessi's week number 6, and she tells me we should have a few tomatoes and peppers available in a couple of weeks! I also see some zucchini in there and lots of greens and other surprises.
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that 3:00-6:30. Note it is also Allen Street's Strawberry Festival! Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and scheduled home deliveries. Saturday we are in Grand Ledge for the Market on the Grand, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. We hope to see you soon!
