As the weather gets colder, and more importantly the days get shorter, the last of our transplants have about two more weeks to get into the ground. Prior to moving the young plants out of the nursery, the new beds must be properly prepared with new compost, organic soil amendments, and rendered weed free. That is how I spent those really gloomy, wet days!
The Grand ledge outdoor pickups have been going pretty well, and this is the last Wednesday for the outdoor Allen Street Farmers Market. I'll be moving inside and will continue to offer Fresh Produce and honor your online orders!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon and the Allen Street Farmers Market outdoors after that, 3:00-6:00.Thursday afternoon is farm pick up and scheduled home deliveries. Saturday I am in the parking lot behind Flour Child Bakery in Grand Ledge, 11:00 AM-12:00 noon. Any special requests will be handled after that. I hope to see you soon!
