Our focus this week is to tuck all of the Winter crops under protective "row covers" in the greenhouses. There is still a lot of energy in the soil, but with the coming sustained below freezing temperatures, the plants will need some help. Outdoors, it's time to surrender to Mother Nature, and today I picked the remaining Brussels Sprouts in the snow!
I am scheduled for some outpatient repair surgery on the second Thursday in December and will likely be on effort restriction for the rest of December. This may affect the final CSA Distribution week for Fall; I will have more next week. I want to be 100% for winter, as we plan to start seeding Onions for 2024 by January 22!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that, 3:00-6:00. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up and scheduled home deliveries. Saturday I am in the parking lot behind Flour Child Bakery. Please review the attached menu and let me know if I can help!
