Sadly, the Baby Lettuce and Asian Greens are still not ready for harvest this week.
We filled too many orders in January and now must wait for the resupply! I plan on some major infrastructure improvements to help alleviate this bottleneck that occurs every February...it is so predictable, one should know by now. So sorry!
Spring/ early Summer planting is underway in full swing. The new mini nursery has put us right on schedule as we'll finish the Tomatoes, Peppers, and Spring Lettuce and Greens. The weather will warm up a little, and we plan to transplant more Asian Greens, Lettuce, Hakurei Salad Turnips, Kohlrabi, Arugula, and perhaps more Bok Choi. I am almost out of storage onions; the Scallions aren't doing much yet but the overwintered yellow onions should begin to bulb up soon as we approach 11 hours of daylight!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that, 3:00-6:00. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and Saturday I am at the parking lot behind Flour Child Bakery in Grand Ledge, 11:00-12:00 noon. Scheduled home deliveries are Saturday afternoon.
