Hello!
We finally have the upper hand on the cabbage worms that have been trying to invade our Cabbage family crops, no small feat for the Organic Practitioner! Our lead work-partner, Eva, has been treating them weekly with a family of microscopic microbes that feed on the newly hatched worms that voraciously attack our crops. Left alone the young feeding larva can destroy a crop of broccoli, or brussels sprouts in a matter of weeks!
Yes, we are working this holiday week! Except for a brief pause on July 4, we will be farming and harvesting to order for you! I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that, 3:00-6:00. Thursday afternoon is farm pick up, and Saturday we are at the Grand Ledge Farmers Market on River Street, 9:00-1:00. Pre-scheduled deliveries will happen on Saturday early afternoon. I hope to see you soon! NOTE: CSA Members that may have order or delivery issues with Harvie, I may have botched the auto renew feature to our CSA. Contact me directly if you have a problem. Thank you all!
