Hello!
New activity here at Hillcrest Farms will center around getting the new transplants ready for the coming late fall and winter months. Finishing harvest, turning and preparing the beds for the new growth is demanding on the time schedules and correct timing of the new crops. The goal is to have our winter fare 75% mature by November 5. Stay tuned! Guessing how much actual sunlight we'll receive on a daily basis is never exactly right.
The Summer CSA Season ends on Saturday, September 28. The Fall Season begins October 1 and runs through Saturday December 21. I am working with a new Online Inventory Management Platform in order to simplify our Fresh Produce lives as I move on from the Harvie system. I must decide this week whether to Auto Renew the Havie system for Fall as I better acclimate myself to the new system or just "jump in". Those of you who know me, must know that I don't like jumping in!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that, 3:00-6:00. Saturday we are at the Grand Ledge Farmers Market on River Street, 9:00-1:00 PM. Scheduled home deliveries are early Saturday afternoon. Sunday I am at the East Lansing Farmers Market in Valley Court 10:00-2:00 .Please see the attached menu and let me know if I can help. I hope to see you soon!
