The next 3 weeks will see a concentrated effort to prep and transplant the winter beds in the protected growing areas. Attending the same structures, we will add reinforcing maintenance, and irrigation. I don't know when or how hard those first cold blasts will arrive!
Meanwhile, we will be planting lots of garlic for overwintering! The Ginger and Turmeric are harvested; they need some further cleaning and curing, and then the crop is ready for you! I still have a few tomatoes, Eggplants, and hot Peppers. The Sweet Potatoes are about 50% into curing, with the rest out of the ground this week before it gets too much cooler overnight. Whew!
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot in Eaton Rapids on Wednesday at 12:00 noon, and the outdoor Allen Street Farmers Market after that, 3:00-6:00. Saturday, all Grand Ledge deliveries will be behind the Flour Child Bakery, 11:00-12:00 noon, and scheduled home deliveries Saturday after 12:00 noon.
Sunday, We are at the East Lansing Farmers Market in Valley Court, 10:00-2:00. I hope to see you soon! Please Note: I intend to have tallied the missing Artisan Cheese deliveries this week. Refund checks will be issued upon completion!
