Dear Spoon Full Farm Family:
The birds are positively melodious, celebrating the victory of daylight with brilliant chitters. The snow is melting, the river is coursing high. Soon the spring winds will arrive!
The wheels of activity are beginning to turn, at the farm. The main greenhouse is getting set to host thousands of baby plants. The young chickens (born October 1) are beginning to lay. Anna, our livestock manager, is driving back from Montana with two(!) guardian dogs, to live with our chickens. They are Akbash-Komondor mixes, with beautiful fluffy fluff. They'll contribute safety for our chickens, and therefore peace for our hearts!
Interns arrive this weekend, too, just as the snow is disappearing. That's a trade we're happy to accept. Soon the growth will be green!
