We had a mad dash last week to harvest and store some crops that don't do well with hard frost. But despite that, we still have a lot of crops in the field that we will be working on this week. Our spinach is still fantastic both baby and full sized leaves. If you need a boost of super green large spinach, consider getting our XL bag which we pack as full as we can!
This week from Pfennings we have sunchokes and striped beets as well as organically grown apples (mac and spartan) from Quebec. We will have potatoes, sweet potatoes and a selection of squash all grown on organic farms in the Aylmer area.
Old East Village is having a Holiday season kickoff with lights and other events. At our market stand at the Western Fair District we will be having a night market this Friday night from 4 to 8 pm so if you are in the neighbourhood stop by and say hi to Julian who will be running our stand!
