Peaches are in from Mountain View Orchards and they are sweeter than ever, I can't stop eating them! Mountain View is located in Chilton County, Alabama, which is greatly known for superb peach orchards. I have been buying peaches from them for years but they had some issues with production for a few years from hurricanes, droughts, etc. It is great to be getting them again and I am happy yall get to try some of them. I made a peach and heirloom tomato pico de gallo over the weekend and it was really good on the tacos and even plain. We are steady working the fields with the small dry spurt we have had, gotta start getting ready for Fall plantings, and yes, its super hot out there! haha

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
