The picture shows most of the veggies that have been available for your boxes lately, I love this time of year because we are able to offer some of my favorite items. I have been eating at least one tomato a day for the last week, whether it was on a sandwich, in a salad, or last night I even sliced some heirlooms thick and roasted them in the oven with some cheese on top! On a less exciting note, our weather forecast is not looking great for the next few days, with a tropical depression likely to dump a large amount of rain on us. We will have to see how it plays out, but either way we will be harvesting some great stuff for your boxes that I hope yall enjoy.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
