It won't be long until we start seeing these varieties popping into the boxes, this is example of a mid to late November harvest that I took last year. I always get excited about the next seasons products and actually start to crave them even though we still have a bit of time before we will harvest or see some of these. I never thought I would actually miss Broccoli......but I honestly do! We will be getting cauliflower, broc, cabbage, and brussel plants in the next couple of weeks. Fall tomatoes went into the ground on Saturday, we should see some of those around mid October, hopefully!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
