Well we finally have another cool front coming through towards the end of the week, should be some nice weather for growing and being outdoors. We certainly don't want another snow storm like the picture I posted from 2020, talk about crazy, but a lil cooler, drier air will be much appreciated. We have a few new items coming available and a few older ones disappearing, I can't remember the last time I had peppers available in mid November! Cauliflower and Broccoli are getting close and I am hoping to be able to offer it before Thanksgiving, that cool weather will certainly help, and root crops should be getting close as well.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
