Chris started clearing the new strawberry space, and he uncovered a driveway! It needs a few loads of gravel, but I'm thrilled that there's something to work off of instead of my needing to find the budget for putting in a driveway from scratch. I went down yesterday and we were able to bushwhack back to the creek for the first time. There are lots of microclimates in the flood plain, and I'm not seeing evidence of regular flooding... I'll need to observe a lot more, but I'm hoping I can put in some pathways and fruit trees down there, maybe picnic tables and benches tucked in. I'm envisioning super cute fairy gardens, or a pumpkin patch where the pumpkins are lined up along the pathways, or the same concept for Christmas trees...

I farm because I believe that feeding someone is the most fundamental way to make an impact in the world. We are what we eat, and I do my best to make sure that I’m growing nutrient rich food that tastes amazing and powers my people to live their best lives.
