I'm taking 10 days off, and I'm simultaneously terrified and elated. Terrified because the last time I left the farm for this long during the growing season we lost all our seedlings. Elated because I think I have a solid team in place now, and if this works it's a solid step towards setting us up for the larger vision of this farm and the goals I have for shaping a just and sustainable food system in the southeast.
So over the next 10 days, give Hadar and Ian lots of good vibes, and give them every opportunity to make it right if something goes awry.
